HOPE

The number of people diagnosed with this dreaded disease has increased significantly over the years. Cancer touches everyone -- whether it's personally or through a family member, friend, neighbor, classmate or colleague.

Last year my dad's younger brother Bebot was diagnosed with colon cancer. Soon after, his daughter Cerissa was stricken with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). And two months ago, Tito Bong, my dad's youngest brother, was diagnosed with lung cancer that metastasized to his liver.

This April, as the we celebrate
Cancer Awareness Month, our family has never been made more aware of the heartaches and devastation cancer brings. Cancer is painful. Cancer is cruel. Cancer is deadly. However, HOPE should not be lost. One day there will be a cure for cancer. One day we will have a cancer free world.

And so, I dedicate this card to all those suffering from cancer most especially to Tito Bebot, Tito Bong & Cipi. Keep on fighting!!!

  2. I enjoyed my visit to your blog. How wonderful that you're able to share your many talents by making giveaways and gifts, etc. Just wanted to suggest that for your titos, maybe you can make them healing verses to put on their wall. In the Bible it says that the word of God is like medicine, IS medicine for our flesh. If our spirit is strong, our flesh becomes strong too. God bless you!
