Sail To Second

One of the things that's kept me quiet and very busy the past week was making 150 pieces of tokens for my daughter's Freshmen Night. Her batch will be having their very first "unchaperoned" (parents will not be allowed inside the venue, but will definitely be outside) mixed party in Poveda right after the batch's private dinner buffet. Due to time constraint, I had to come up with very easy-to-do favors wherein I can incorporate the school and their nautical theme's colors.

Let me know what you think. Would love to hear from you.

The Stork Is Coming

Being a mother is awesome! I've been a mother for 19 years now to a young adult (Tonito), a teenager (Alexis) and a grade schooler (Enzo). It hasn't been smooth sailing all the way, but there have definitely been more highs than lows. It is a job I take seriously and I am ever so grateful to have been blessed with these three wonderful children.

So, whenever a relative or a friend is graced with the same opportunity, I get so happy, giddy & excited for them because they will get to experience motherhood. Of course, it also gives me a reason to put my creativity to work!

Here are photos of the diaper cakes I made for the baby shower of Jek (my best friend/cousin-in-law/sorority sister/travel agent) and Zoe (my sorority sister). They are simple to make, but provide great joy to the mom-to-be.

"To be a mother is a woman's greatest vocation in life. She is a partner with God. No being has a position of such power and influence. She holds in her hands the destiny of nations, for to her comes the responsibility and opportunity of molding the nation's citizens."

Shining Shimmering Splendid

Here are a couple of ordinary post-its all spruced up with coordinating pens. I made them last month for my daughter Alexis' 15th birthday. She gave them away to her friends. They loved them because they where all glittery and shimmery.

Oh and the pretty glass tray used in this photo was made by her. Isn't she talented? Am so proud of her!

Finally Took The Plunge

For the past couple of weeks I've been contemplating on creating a blog. However, I kept procrastinating, always coming up with lame excuses (so lame I won't even mention them). Then I realized that the truth of the matter is I had a lot of insecurities regarding my creations. Nobody has seen any of my works except my family and very close friends. Crafting is a side of me not everyone knows about.

This all changed last Saturday morning after I checked my email. My very supportive friend Kay of Creations on Paper sent me a very encouraging email entitled "Your Fans Are Waiting For You". She featured some of my works in her blog and two wonderful ladies left heart-warming comments. One even took her time to look for my page in Facebook. And so, this sealed the deal for me!

"Just Post It" to me equates to Nike's tagline "Just Do It".

I look forward to sharing my world with you!
