LV-esque

My aunt wanted to give her best friend who lives in the US something special. So, she asked me to make a set of personalized cards for her. Now, how do I even begin creating something for someone I've never met? Does she like bright colors or subdued ones? What kind of prints does she prefer? Stripes or floral? So many questions, but I only got one answer.....she's very chic.

So, here's my take on smart elegance and sophistication...

Note: According to my aunt her BFF was ecstatic when she received her package and couldn't stop raving on how beautiful the cards were. I say that is just wonderful!!!

Pucci-ness

I am just lovin' my new JustRite Wood Stamper. It's perfect for making monogram cards which I am obsessing as of the moment.

Here, I used two different designer papers, but with similar color palette. The combination of their colors and prints reminded me so much of the geometric prints in a kaleidoscope of colours that are synonymous to the works of the great Italian designer Emilio Pucci.

I then layered my initial with a scallop circle in SU! cardstock in celery green and old olive. The overall effect is simply yummylicious!

Congratulations!

The sad reality of life is that not everybody is a winner. In order for someone to win, another should lose. Losing is very hard to admit especially if one gives his all during the fight. However, one can accept his loss gracefully and come out a better man just by offering his congratulations to the winning party with one of my cards!

Lovely Medallion

I am just loving my newly acquired SU! Medallion Stamp. So, when some friends of mine ordered personalized blank cards I knew exactly which stamp to use. I actually got my design inspiration from my creative friend, Kay.

I used SU! Lovely Letters Stamp Set...

And added some bling-bling for that extra ooomph!

Glittery Wings

Hello there! Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. I sure did! Spent it in San Fernando, Pampanga -- my parents' province. It was a bittersweet reunion for our family. Everyone was there to show their love and support for my Uncle Bong. We also celebrated my eldest son's 19th birthday there yesterday. It was truly a memorable holiday for us.

Today I'd like to share a favor box I made a while back.

Sweet treats or small pretty little items can be put inside this box. It measures 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 x 6/8. I used a printed cardstock and wrapped a thin purple satin ribbon around it. As a finishing touch, I topped it with a glittered butterfly.

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
